Madeleine mcann... What If..?

I Know this is going to sound a little harse but what if it is the parents like no im not fully blaming them but there is a lot of evedince.

1) leave 3 tods alone...

2) patio door unlocked

3) bedroom windows open

4) onyl checking up every half hour

5) not even thinking about a baby sitter

and when a child gets kidnapped what happens? you get money. toys ,flowers, support

im not like a person that would think that but what if they kid naped there own child.not harming her and pretty soon she'll show up again.

then on the other hand. just somthing foolish the parents did

everything has a consaquence.

p.s im not like trying to be mean its just a thought.

Madeleine mcann... What If..?
You're not being harsh at all. Those two deserve all the negativity they get, and more. I am sick to death of all the do-gooders feeling sorry for them. I'll tell you why I think that:

Madeleine and the twins had the right to be protected by the people who brought them into this world.

Madeleine and the twins had the right to be treated like human beings, not designer handbags that could be put down when mummy got bored of them.

Madeleine is or was going through God-knows-what at the hands of her abductors because her parents thought time alone was more important then the welfare of their children.

Madeleine's life could quite possibly be cut short before she has even begun to live it, all because her parents couldn't be arsed to be parents.

You're not mean at all, I wish other people could think as realistically as you.

It would seem 7 people don't think a 4 year old child is more important than her parents...looks like the McCanns aren't the only screwed up ones.

Oh how the truth hurts.

A "mistake" can't be helped, a "mistake" isn't done on purpose. You CAN help leaving 3 children alone in hotel room, you DO do this on purpose. So therefore the parents DID NOT make a "mistake", they made a CHOICE. That is why people are so angry with them. What the hell is wrong with you people that you can't see this?

Eierfairiemom, don't agree with me! I tell the truth, people don't like that on here! Sorry for your thumb down, ask a question, I'll give you a star!
Reply:oh please not this again. we know..that the parents know - they did a stupid thing...they are certainly paying the price now.

their lives are completely shattered...please - lets not make it any worse for them by constantly complaining about them...if Maddy doesnt turn up safe - they will pay for the rest of their lives - they will never get over it.
Reply:I highly doubt they did it themselves, But for Maddie's sake, I hope they did. And then she turns up alive and unharmed. So again for her sake I really hope they did and she comes home safe and sound. Money really has no meaning when it comes to the life of a child, or the life of anyone for that matter. Money can be replace a child cannot, no matter how much money one has. If Bill Gates was in this situation (I know he won't be with security and all) I bet he would give up all his billions of dollars to get his kid back. Wouldn't you? I would without hesitation.
Reply:This tragedy is unimaginable in its awfulness, yes the parents created the situation which allowed it to happen, and yes they will be haunted by this mishandling of their childcare for the rest of their lives without a doubt. Anyone can criticise but no one would have dreamt that such a horrible thing could happen. Some of us of which I am one never let our children out of our sight for a minute, and I speak as one whose children went to Portugal many times when they were infants fifty years ago. I know that the Portuguese people themselves are immensely child friendly and have a very protective attitude towards them. I think if this is ever solved it won't be Portuguese people who were involved in this crime.I think anyone would wish to pray for the save return of this little child and any others who have not raised the interest of the media as this case has done. There are some very wicked people out in the communities and children are always at risk, sad to say the internet has increased the interest of these paedophiles.
Reply:I can't see them having had anything to do with it - although stranger things have happened.

I thoroughly agree that there are hard lessons to be learned from this, but right now the focus is - quite rightly - on finding the poor kid. It should be, anyway.

Yes, they were reckless in leaving the kids alone- I wouldn't have done it and I find it alarming that any responsible parent would. HOWEVER, I would hate to be in the parents' position now. If they are completely innocent then imagine how they must be feeling... knowing that they left her and that this happened as a result of their negligence. Could you live with that knowledge if this was your daughter?

These parents made a bad decision and they are indeed paying the highest price for it. They did a stupid thing and are now suffering like hell.

I can't begin to imagine how much the McCanns are beating themselves up over this. I also find the holier-than-thou heartlessness of the "serves 'em right" brigade pompous, judgemental beyond belief, and throughly distasteful. I wouldn't wish this situation on my worst enemy. Ever.

Let's just hope that missing children - including little Madeleine, obviously - are found safe and well.
Reply:i have had 2 different reports in Glasgow that she has been found, safe i hope .
Reply:Im sick of all this what if...please..leave them alone now. They know they made a mistake, nobody's perfect. They will live with the guilt of what they have done....we really dont need people like you coming on here stirring it all up again.
Reply:That's ridiculous, and I think the parents have suffered enough without the likes of this.
Reply:why would they do that? i know the parents have made a big mistake but they r paying in a big way for it. u can see the pain they r in lets just hope maddie is found safe an well an soon
Reply:Interesting theory, but I can't imagine 2 people with good jobs and a family they desperately wanted would make themselves look like terrible parents just for the attention and a few toys somehow.

Also, there is no physical way they could have done it. They'd have been found out by now. Where would they have hidden her??
Reply:well they`re both doctors so i`m guessing they can afford toys and stuff for their kids,i think it`s just some horrid sillly mistake that they`ll have to live with for the rest of their lives no matter what the outcome is.
Reply:Can you please keep your ridiculous thoughts to yourself, its not the time to be critical of them, but to pray that their little girl is returned safely and as soon as possible.

I'm sure they love their kids and would not deliberately endanger their lives. All parents at some point or the other have unintentiionally endangered their children, but for the grace of God, we would have seen a lot more of this sort of episodes...

So please critising them now. im sure that is not going to help matters
Reply:Again......DITTO to what Hallie said
Reply:Oh yeah and maybe the police have never considered this for a second and you are a genius. Case solved eh????? You maybe are not trying to be mean but stupid comments like this are really not needed!
Reply:well if she was the child of a single parent they would have made more of the fact those children were left alone not heard media mention this once and yes couldnt agree more with you
Reply:Grow up and get real.
Reply:jyust plainstupid and self centred (parents i mean not you).
Reply:They made a mistake. All parents make them in regrads to their children irrespective of how unbelievably great they think they are.

now is not the time to be criticising them. they are suffering enough.

They need support and for Maddie to be brought home safe
Reply:Even though I agree with the above answers, you have to wonder if the media would treat them the same if they lived on a council estate and went to the pub next door and kept checking them every half an hour, don't you ?

Like I said on a previous question though, the McCann's will live with what has happened for the rest of their lives and will be their own harshest critics, and lets not forget at the centre of all of this is a little girl who is scared out of her mind. Hindsight is a wonderful thing!
Reply:yeah well i get your point but they werent exactly neglegent. Its a sad thing and Im sure no one is to blame. Im just waiting too see how much overprotective parents make out of it - cotton wool factor invades !
Reply:ditto everything Hallie said.

they are searching a villa owned by a british woman a few yards from the hotel according to BBC.co.uk

Please let her be found safely

Hallie, don't worry about the thumbs down. I should be more articulate when i respond to a question, I just got distracted by the breaking news. Glued to sky news and praying for maddie to be found safe.
