What do other ladies do to make this time go by fast? I am trying to keep busy with housework, yard work and various things but I am soooooo drained after doing to smallest task, like planting flowers or something. My back kills, my body aches and I am so ready for my baby girl to come into this world. What are some other activites that will keep my occupied for the next few weeks? The baby has dropped and is head down and ready to go, I am a finger tip dilated and I have been having contractions but they are not regular and not that intense yet. What have other ladies done to stay active and keep the time passing??? Thanks!
37 weeks and miserable...?
You sound like you are nesting...but with all this nesting and work you are making your self in even more pain. Just keep marking the calender each day and MOM REST because in a few weeks you will barely get any. Take advantage of this time with no baby right now. You are going to need your energy and strength to deliver. Yard work at 37 weeks? Are you superwoman? LOL Congrats and good luck..sounds like you are progressing nicely to maybe have a not so long delivery. You could read to the baby to while you are resting.
Reply:i feel for you, im only 35 eks preg and ive been misserable for awhile;( i cnat really tell you what to do to pass the tim ecause im having the same ?s, although im starting to dialate so im hoping ill go soon the doc says its early but the baby is great and she will be fine. try walking to help labor along that worked with my first one:) goodluck!
Reply:Write! In the end of all three of my pregnancys....I picked up a paper and wrote to my unborn children. Write your baby a letter or a diary...something you'd want him or her to write years from now. That's a special gift. Also, you can just relax, watch t.v., read and get some rest, because once your princess comes you won't be getting any for a while!
Reply:Try to enjoy these last few quiet days, write some journal notes about your feelings of anticipation, they will be fun to read in a few weeks after the baby is born. Prepare and freeze meals and baking. But really try to relish this time to yourself.
Reply:go walking around a park. or wade in a swimming pool. i have an almost 2 year old son that keeps me active.
Reply:Sew or knit. Learn a new thing. Read, and watch tv!
Reply:Sounds like you're ready to go! I was like that too with my daughter. It didn't help that it was August and the heat was awful. What I did toward the end was of course, pack my hospital bag like 10 times. I also went swimming and took walks in the evening. That might also help with bringing labor on too. Just relax!! Trust me you'll wish you had once the baby comes!
Reply:You need to be relaxing, get handheld video games, or some kind of game
Reply:I am exactly the same as u. im 37.3 weeks and desperate to get this baby out. Although I feel fine (no backache, or any other ache) Im very tired and having painful twinges / BH all over the place, not to mention the pressure down below feels like shes gonna pop out. i try to keep busy but can't stop thinking about her coming out. Im fed up with being huge, not being able to have a good drink of red wine, being stuck in all the time and not having a social life of any kind. Can't be long, surely?????
