Why sims 2?!?

ok I really really loved Sims 1 you can do allot of things. I have worked on my Sims for a long time and now and now they have a new baby 2 kids (boy and girl and the baby is a boy) and they live in a mansion i made! so...i don't get it why are people so crazy about Sims 2? what do you do in it? And will it work on windows xp? or DerectX 9.0? I really need to know oh yeah and..I saw the trailer and my dad was not to impressed WHY DID IT HAVE TO SHOW THEM MAKING OUT!!!! WHY!!!!!!


oh well....I just am saying i think Sims 1 is soo cooler now i got um...The Sims Complete Collection you can do really cool things! and if you think the make out scenes are gross all it says is you make them kiss allot is this window pops up and says do you want to have a baby if you click yes this little cradle will come up with flowers all around it if you click no a little while later another window pops up and says adoption agency would you like a baby is you click yes they will bring a baby to the door.

Why sims 2?!?
If you are very happy with your current sims 1 games, there is no need to get the sims 2. The sims 2 has much better graphics, There is much more stuff to do, there is now different ages. In sims 1, there is only a kid or an adult, in sims 2, there is elders, teens, and baby's. Allthough the sims 2 may look better, there is one thing that the sims 1 is better for. Since all of the objects, furniture, and sims have the highest quality and graphics, It is also slower, much much slower, than the sims 1. If you like the fast sims, stick with sims 1. If you have a fast computer, then sims 2 can be perfect. I can tell you from experiance, it is HORRIBLE when it's slow. It litterally takes them half an ohur to walk from upstairs, to the pool. -_-'. But you can also download clothes for sims(modthesims2,sims2.com,etc.(but heck! you can downnload clothes for the sims 2 too!) and now, unlike the sims 1, you can have much more selection for clothes, makeup, hair, pants, shirts, etc...





So if you have a fast computer and you like good graphics get the sims 2 ^^...(it's rated T for teen)
Reply:The Sims 2 is a vast improvement over the original in just about all aspects. It is much more realistic. What's wrong with the sims kissing each other? That's how relationships are in real life for real teens and adults. It's decent in the game and is in no way negative.
Reply:The graphics alone in Sims 2 makes it far superior to the original Sims. I liked the first Sims too but with Sims 2 you just experience a whole different world. You have different kinds of neighborhoods (with pre-set neighbors living there), you can decide what zodiac sign you want your sim to be and that controls their personality, you can customize your Sim in ways you can't imagine!





Yes, the Sims make out and they also can "have sex" (called Woo Hoo) but there is nothing that graphic about it. It is rated T for Teen after all with a clear warning of Crude Humor, Sexual Themes and Violence.





Good luck and hopefully, if your parents approve, you'll get it. It's worth it!
Reply:If the sims 1 was better, there would have been no sims2. Obviously there were things to improve upon. The sims 2 is much more realistic, the camera angles are more user friendly, and the 3d view pleases the eye. Sims 1 is sooo limited and at this point has become obsolete. Sims2 also introduced dna. Your simulated children can actually look like you! Both the sims and sims 2 pioneered certain gaming features. Yes, you need a better computer for sims 2 but its worth it. Just months ago I tried to play sims 1 and after about 15 minutes I stopped! It was too boring. The only thing I wish is that one of the remake EPs could have been superstar.
Reply:Personally, I like the Sims 2 better because the Sims have aspirations and they can age and die. When I go back and play the Sims 1, it seems kind of flat because nothing ever changes. In the Sims 2 kids grow up and become adults. In the Sims 1, they're babies for three days and then become kids and that's it. In the Sims 2, the Sims can earn skill points by doing things (like cooking and cleaning) and not just from reading. If you have some of the expansion packs, your Sims can go to college, date, go on vacation, have pets or own their own businesses. I know that sounds like the Sims 1 but it's much cooler in the Sims 2. Yes, the Sims can make out in the Sims 2. They also do "woo hoo" when they try to have a baby but it's more implied than seen and is no worse that the Sims using the heart shaped bed in the Sims 1. The Sims in the Sims 2 can either adopt or have their own kids and now there is Sim DNA so the kids actually look like the parents. The Sims 1 is cool, especially with the complete collection but I think the Sims 2 is just a more interesting game.


The Sims 2 works on Windows XP. That's how I run it. I've heard it doesn't work well on Vista so far but I might be wrong about that.
