I'll expand - Lupe is commenting on how the negative images proliferated by the media are having harmful effects on the community and how the government tacitly approves of this state of affairs.
Reply:my guess is wanting the world to change, not getting any help on a place that's gone all wrong, not really being able to do anything to make anyone understand or get any change, the media/government working to defame the place (to people elsewhere) while trying to brainwash children there to accept that's all they are worth and to get used to it, rather than helping... it's pretty deep, was i close? or not even?
