We've Been On The Outs Lately But He Just Lost His Job & It's Xmas?

I posted this in another section in error so please pardon me. My boyfriend hasn't been calling me lately like he usually does. There's been alot of tension between us. We've had some really nasty arguments lately %26amp; hurt each other but I hurt him alot more with my words. He hasn't been calling me %26amp; hasn't been in the mood to deal with any of this. Because things have NOT been so great with us I felt "tired" of it yesterday %26amp; broke up with him but I still have strong feelings for him %26amp; I'm sad %26amp; heartbroken when I don't hear from him. I splurged on him for Xmas, I bought his baby a generous gift certificate %26amp; I bought his Mom some flowers %26amp; I'm still giving it all to him regardless. Am I stupid for that? To top it off, out of nowhere, today he lost his job. NOW he's calling me. I'm being as supportive as I can, not holding grudges %26amp; I'm STILL sending my Xmas gifts to him. Am I playing a sucker's role? Or should I not send anything since he hasn't been calling me %26amp; things have not
