I have two chilli plants growing individually in pots outside my apartment and they get about half a day's worth of sun everyday... Now, most of the little white flowers have fallen off and a few "baby" chillies have started to grow too. At the moment, my mom uses used tea leaves and organic fertiliser (I think it's chicken crap or something..) alternately but not on a very frequent basis. Are there any other such natural fertilisers that we can use and how often should we add them? 'Cus, we intend for the "fruits" of our labour to be used for consumption..(Serious answers pls, thanks..)
Two chilli plants.. what natural plant food is the best?
Hello-I grow chili plants also, the best plant food I have found is natural compost. Take some dead leaves, and stick them into the soil. You should really make some good food for next year, by putting into a pot some dead leaves, almost full, then adding some soil on top. Let it sit for at least 6 months, watering every few weeks or so. Turn it whenever you get a chance. By next year, you will have the best plant food you ever saw. For now, this year, try adding dead leaves into the soil. You can try carrots. ground in a blender, to make a soup, and add it once a week or so. Works great.
