Summer Jobs for 13 year olds?

Well, Me and my friend samantha are looking for a good summer job.


We are already planning on doing things like Lawn Mowing


and Baby sitting.





My questions are:





1)Lawn Mowing....What are good wages for it?


Example: small yard - $20 large yard - 40$


weed cutting - $6 flower/garden watering - $2 - $12





2) Baby sitting......wages?


example: Per Hour: $10





3)Any other good jobs for two 13 year old girls? besides dog walking and house sitting for vacationers....i am terrified of dogs so it wouldnt work out.

Summer Jobs for 13 year olds?
For #1 that's probably a good start; You may have to feel it out in your neighborhood to know what to charge; Try to set up where you come back, say every two weeks, or if the grass exceeds 4 inches.





#2? the above poster might be right about the $8--but, again feel it out. By the way go online to the Red Cross...they offer courses on babysitting where you end up with a certificate; That comes in handy when you are trying to land people who don't know you or are afraid or trusting you.





Other jobs? Elderly people need services some as simple as taking out trash cans...house sitting and pet sitting are also good ones...washing cars? washing windows? painting? cleaning pools?

Reply:10 dollars a hour for babysitting isnt the best its to much. 8 dollars at the most...But it depends on how many hours you work. More money if you work less less money if you more more.
Reply:They sound like good ideas, especially the lawn mowing (everyone needs their lawns mowed) put up some advertising on posts in your neighbourhood or maybe down at the local shops) .I'm not sure if people would hire two 13 year olds to look after their children though, if that doesn't work out you could do some cleaning for your neighbours eg: washing, ironing,vaccuming and general tidying.
