Does anyone know if this means anything?

my mother died 4 weeks ago and was cremated a week later, every time we were at the cremation plot in the chappel we saw a red butterfly flying around us and while there this week putting flowers on the plot there was a baby frog sat right on top of the plot and he was not phased by us being there, so does anyone know what this may mean?

My Auntie died a while ago, and the days leadng up to and for sometime after there was a red admiral butterfly that would come up to my mums window, my mum was convinced it meant something. It gave my mum some comfort to think that it might possibly be a sign from her.





The strange thing was that she died a week before christmas a year ago, and i am no expert but we all thought that was a little late for a butterfly to be around!!!





Take what you have seen as you wish, if it makes you smile and think its a sign or something from you mum, go for it.....

Reply:It may mean the world is alive with various life forms, all of which are related to one aonther (by all of them being made of the same second generation star material, all have arisen through the process known as evolution, etc.) and all of which are interdependent upon all other things in the universe.





So sorry, no mystical, magical, other worldly meaning.





Such thoughts may be "fun" by they also distract one from the reality of what "is". Life is as it is. PLease don't mislead yoursefl as there are more than enough persons in this life who will be all too happy to do that for you.

As well as great sadness and sorrow, maybe seeing these two creatures was a blessing in disguise, if you are able to see such beauty at a time of great sadness then surely this must mean something? Reply:i lost my nana in march and we had the same thing happen us a part it was a barn owl and a fox it just your mums way of telling you she watch over you and that she happy and that life goes on even though she not here any more.

the butterfly is pretty obvious, but perhaps the frog represents washing away aspects of your personality or aspects of your life that may be holding you back...'wash away and start a new'.
Reply:Yeah! The butterfly was flying around happily and the frog was quite happy sitting on his plot catching flies - it means nothing unless you want it to mean something.
Reply:I had to answer this question after reading a few of the answers you've received so far.





As someone who had a similar thing happen to them after losing a loved one, I can confidently report the frog I think was nothing, if you're living in England you will know how bad the weather is and the rain makes them come out. The butterfly however I think was something else, most cases I have heard like this, it's usually an animal with wings, the fact it was red was maybe so you could see it more clearly. I 100% believe it was your mother coming to check on you all. Sometimes the living need reassurance that there is life after death and loved ones if they can or want to can do this, not all the time but it can come as smells, strange flowers growing that you didn't plant.





When I lost my baby I was in the hospital on my own and got a strong scent of flowers, I new it was my nan who had passed many years ago, as her sons and daughters had smelt flowers on different occasions, I looked to see what time it was and my watch had stopped at 10:30pm, the pain had stopped all of a sudden so I managed to fall asleep. Long story short my baby had passed away in the night, when I got home I looked at my watch and it had started again, I smelt flowers again and there was a robin just perched on the sill looking at me, he came home to say its ok.





Keep a look out, especially dates that mean something to you and your mother, allways know that if you really need them they will be there. I promise you this.

Reply:It means a red butterfly and a frog live near the grave. The frog is obviously used to people. The butterfly will be dead in a few months, so don't worry.
